A Snowy Stop in Lugano

"Wait, didn't you graduate?" I can't even tell you how many people asked me that this week. But alas, no I did not graduate, nor am I student this semester. I simply stopped into snowy Lugano for a visit!
Visiting my university without actually being a student was extremely strange, and I found that not having an apartment in a city I consider home to be very disconcerting. But despite all the Mean Girls themed "she doesn't even go here" comments I managed to have a great time distracting all my friends from their homework!

Not having meetings, classes, or assignments meant that I got to spend time doing all the things I love to do at Franklin. Namely zumba, cooking ( I made mushroom risotto, pomegranate blue cheese risotto, cheese tarte with pancetta, and other yummy dishes), dinner parties, and playing copious amounts of Cards Against Humanity. It was a real treat to be able to do all of these without the stress of 20 page papers hanging over me.

Needless to say this was a very relaxing introduction to my 5 month journey through Africa. Stay tuned for more, as I head to Malawi tomorrow!

All dressed up for Franklin University's annual Jazz Night!
